What are the functions RouteTech® has that would improve my company?

RouteTech has many functions that we are sure will improve you your daily operations.

Accounting Module

The accounting module is often referred to as the collections module or route accounting module. As the name implies it handles all aspects of RouteTech® that apply to accounting. Receipt processing, statement productions and accounting exports/imports are some of the major functions of this module. It is dependant on the CRM (Customer Relations Module) only.

Service Module

The service module handles all aspects of the maintenance and repair of appliances. There are three (3) major types of service that can be managed. The first is retail service where the client and/or equipment are largely unknown to RouteTech®. Direct sales to the customer or fee for service to individuals are usually the processes that use this method. The second in Independent service where the customer is often known but the equipment is not well known. Leases or rentals to other businesses often fall into this group. The third type of service is referred to as contract service. In this group the customer and equipment is well known and in most cases is the operator themselves. This type of service is for equipment on route or owned by the servicing organization. The service module is dependant on the accounting module in order to support contract service.

Inventory Module

The inventory module primarily manages the machines and parts of an organization. It can also establish a connection between RouteTech's inventory control and popular third party accounting systems. In this way the duplication of effort required for entering and managing large volumes of parts is eliminated. It also ensures that RouteTech's inventory can be synchronized with an organizations existing inventory. The inventory module manages the parts and equipment used in service calls and also in-transit inventory (the parts in service vehicles). Vehicles can be restocked from parts consumed in service calls.

Global Positioning System (GPS)

A number of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) interfaces are incorporated into RouteTech. The GPS module can show you, with real-time updates, the progression of your vehicles towards their service calls which are displayed visually on an actual map. You can also replay vehicle movements. Depending on the system used, it is also possible to close your service calls from the field.

Routes Module

The routes module enables RouteTech® users to manage their collection and service routes. It can interface to the scheduler (not requires) and also into the mapping module. Its primary function is to allow both dynamic and static route planning functions. Locations are placed on routes and then sequenced within the route using drag and drop technology. A number of types of collections tags can be selected and printed along with the driver and special instructions. The route planning module is dependant on the accounting module.

Customer Relationship Management Module (CRM)

RouteTech's customer relationship management module is a contact manager that is specialized for location based information management. In other words, it is not contact or product specific but is more concerned with retaining and storing information about locations over the long term (years not days, weeks).

The scheduler provides the time dimension for RouteTech. All activities within RouteTech that have a time component can be plotted on a calendar. The scheduler manages customer appointments, service calls and collection routes. Other modules, such as service and collections are enhanced when the scheduler module is available.

Web Interface Module

Most route operators are facing stiff competition and are looking for additional sources of revenue or a competitive edge. Many of these operators are offering additional or premium services. To support this activity, RouteTech® now has a web interface module that allows operators and distributors to deliver custom service solutions to their customers. The web site component is the portion of the module with which the customer interfaces. The web site is secure and managed and maintained by Paradigm Technologies Corp. although it is possible to bring it in-house (to the route operator or customer) if the technology is available at their site. The web site access is controlled and managed by the route operator via the use of user names and passwords assigned by the route operator. The web page can be accessed directly by logging in or through a link on the customer’s web site. Once logged in the customer is able to see their locations/sub locations and the equipment at them. They can select a location and piece of equipment and place a service request which is then transmitted to RouteTech®. The web site has several reports that provide information about the service calls and their statuses.
