- How do I know which formula is the
right one?
Under the accounting tab and accounts there is a screen called
"find formula type". On this screen it will let you pick and
choose as to how you will pay this customer. Once you have picked
all the right information for this customer click the find formula
tab, and I will give you the right formula according to the
information you have applied. If you are still not sure that
the formula that appears is the right formula read the description
and try altering your criteria. If you can’t find a formula
to match your criteria you may need a new formula that is not
already in RouteTech®.
- When doing Cheque processing how do
I un-tag all at one time rather than un-tag one at a time?
When all cheque's are tagged, the button will appear "un-tag
all". When all cheque's are un-tag the button will appear "tag
all". Depending on what customers you are paying you can tag
all or un-tag all and pay only the payee’s that are tagged.

before I can make a work order?
Yes. You must have a service request attached to a work order.
There is a difference between a service request and a work order.

by many sources. For example you can have a service request
come from an outside source. An outside source would be a customer.
You can also have a service request come from an inside source.
An inside source being a manager or a service man. Another example
of where a service request could be populated would be from
a service level agreement, or by a request on your web site.
Work Order: A work order is a unit of work
done by a service man. Many request's may result in only one
work order. (For example if two people call about the same problem)

- What is a sub location?
A sub-location is a non- mappable "findable" address. For example
if you had a location with an address of 123 Anywhere street
and this location had a laundry room on the 2nd floor and on
the 7th floor, your sub-locations would be the 2nd floor and
the 7th floor laundry rooms.
- Is it mandatory to have sub locations
in RouteTech?
No you do not have to have sub locations in RouteTech®. It all
depends on how you have your locations set up.
- Can I add, delete and edit my receipts?
Yes you can add, edit and delete your receipts. You can add
and delete receipts on the regular receipt form. Receipts that
are brought in through the EDC interface can be editted in the
pending receipts form. Once they are processed they can be editted
in the regular form.
- What is the problem when I have a gross
amount in my pending receipts report but it doesn’t update my location?
When putting receipts into the system you must always have a
location attached to the receipts. If this happens either one
of two things could have occurred. When entering the receipt
the scanner did not pick up the location from the tag scanner,
or the location was never entered at the time of the receipt.
In this case you would have to go back to the Regular Receipts
form and manually attach a location to the receipt.

- Termination of machines:Why does it clearly indicate “from location”, “to warehouse”?? I thought it was a transfer?
All terminations are considered to have occurred from a warehouse as they will likely be received into a warehouse for inspection for reusable parts, etc. But if you lose a location, are re-outfitting a location, etc. then you do not want to have to transfer all the machines to a warehouse in one step and then terminate all of the machines in another if you intend on scrapping all of the machines at the location. The “Terminate at Location” has the exact same effect as terminating from a warehouse, but allows you to achieve the two step process in one step.
